Reflection in a Painting


As in ancient philosophies that teach us to still the mind , I make an attempt at this through painting.

The process of giving and taking away . Textures and placement of paint all engage and draw the eyes. Areas of colour are subtle , reaffirming the emotion to reflect and ponder.

Reflection


Early morning when the air was still cool. Lavender and unknown flowers in a vase. On the left; quartz crystal ; and on the right a ceramic candlestick I created caught in reflection.
Faint dew still lingering on window.
Another day begins...
